Issue: Can't change audio source in game / have to restart UT4 to get sound to work

Solution: Install AudioFix patch

Instructions:

  • Navigate to: " ..\UnrealTournament\Engine\Binaries\Win64"
  • Rename UE4-XAudio2-Win64-Shipping.dll   to   UE4-XAudio2-Win64-Shipping_bak.dll
  • Unzip UT4-Patches-1.0.zip
  • Place new UE4-XAudio2-Win64-Shipping.dll   in   " ..\UnrealTournament\Engine\Binaries\Win64"

Issue: Game occassionally crashes on map change

Solution 1 (More Robust): Install MonkeyPatch that fixes nav collision data issues when loading a map containing an asset without cooked nav collision data

Solution 2: Install a pak to override a problematic one

Instructions:

  • Navigate to: "..\UnrealTournament\UnrealTournament\Content\Paks"
  • Copy SM_EffectCapsule-WindowsNoEditor_P_1.pak here
